Satellite Services is a point of care service offered by St. Christopher’s Imaging to individual practitioners who desire to take control of their patients imaging care. Realizing that Imaging is a critical part of the diagnostic process, front line providers understand that it is essential to have access to diagnostic imaging without the delays inherent to traditional imaging sources. No longer does the E. R. need to be your urgent imaging source because the Radiology department is booked for the day. Running a practice has challenges; high quality imaging done in a timely manner should never be one of those challenges. You now have options.

What is it? St. Christopher’s Imaging provides ultrasound examinations at the origin of care, your office. We provide equipment, archiving, Sonographers and Radiologist reporting for a full service solution.
Why in my office? OBGYN and Urology figured this one out a long time ago, on-site personal ultrasound means you get answers now so you can reduce unnecessary referrals and expedite your patients care with clear clinical confidence.
How can this benefit my practice?Establishing an ultrasound department within your facility will allow your practice to enhance patient care and improve your practices productivity.
My volume is low, is this worth it? Yes, many practices do not have the volume to invest in expensive equipment and a full time sonographer. That is why we provide you service only when you need it. Our business model allows us to distribute our services to a number of providers, thus effectively diluting our overhead. Think of us as a shared service company. If your practice only has enough patients for service one day a week we will develop a service to meet your needs.
Who reads the exams? All examinations performed at your office will be interpreted by Diagnostic Imaging Associates of Shreveport. The Board Certified Radiologist at DIA are local Doctors that you know and trust.
How long does it take to get a report? Although we guarantee a report within 24 hours most are faxed to your office within a couple of hours. In addition, critical findings are personally called in by a Radiologist for immediately consultation.
How are the exams stored and for how long? All examinations are archived for 7 years on our HIPPA compliant secure computer systems and backed up on a second archive located outside of Louisiana.
How can I view the exam? You will have secure access to view your patients Images and reports over the internet anywhere, anytime, even on your Apple iphone™, ipod™ or ipad™. You will have the additional ability to burn a CD from any computer.
What does St. Christopher’s Imaging supply? We supply all imaging equipment, supplies, Sonographers, digital archive and retrieval for 7 years, Interpretation by local Board Certified Radiologist, transcription, and report delivery.
What do I need? Nothing new, what you have will work. We simply need a room to perform the exams.
